Manager Zinedine Zidane stepped down at the end of the season and the Frenchman has since been replaced by former Spain head coach Julen Lopetegui, while Madrid's all-time record goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo ended his nine year stay in Madrid by moving to Italian champions Juventus.
