The Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur dominated the Premier League in the opening weekend and, as one would expect, key names from their respective sides made one half of the team of the Week 1.

Englishmen Raheem Sterling and John Stones impressed for Manchester City, while Liverpool got a lift from Naby Keita and Sadio Mane.

Luke Shaw and Jan Vertonghen scored their first league goals for Manchester United and Tottenham, respectively, to make the cut.

Another notable name to be added to the list was that of Richarlison, who made his move from Watford to Everton memorable by scoring a double.
