Goalkeeper: Karl Darlow (Newcastle United)
Started the season as the third choice, but if Newcastle stay up, his penalty save from Yohan Cabaye will be a major reason why.
Right-back: Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)
The best right-back in the division this season, he played a part in Danny Welbeck’s winner against Norwich City as Arsenal cemented third place.
Centre-back: Wes Morgan (Leicester City)
Another week, another commanding performance from the Leicester captain, capped by the crucial equaliser at Old Trafford.
Centre-back: Jamal Lascelles (Newcastle)
Has made a real difference since Rafael Benitez brought him into the Newcastle team and excelled again as Crystal Palace were shut out.
Left-back: Leighton Baines (Everton)
Ended Everton’s seven-game winless run with a decider against Bournemouth. Was the best player on the pitch even without that.
Right midfielder: Sadio Mane (Southampton)
Became a rare player to score a hat-trick against Manchester City with a devastating display of pace and predatory finishing.
Centre midfield: Mark Noble (West Ham)
A rare scorer has now recorded doubles in successive games. Noble’s excellence was rewarded against West Bromwich Albion.
Centre midfield: Cheikhou Kouyate (West Ham)
Noble’s sidekick was similarly good, scoring the first goal and setting up the second in the victory at the Hawthorns.
Left midfield: Dusan Tadic (Southampton)
Mane’s eager accomplice ended up with three assists to accompany the Senegalese midfielder’s trio of goals in the rout of Manchester City.
Striker: Andre Ayew (Swansea)
Returned to his early-season form with a double to beat Liverpool’s weakened team. Martin Skrtel could not contain him.
Striker: Troy Deeney (Watford)
The Birmingham fan scored a late brace to condemn sorry Aston Villa to yet another defeat and earn Watford a rare win.
