Mohamed Salah has come in for criticism at various times this season - not only for alleged diving but also his form.
Yet his Liverpool side are in the Uefa Champions League final and go into the today's last round of Premier League fixtures with the title within reach.
And to top it off, Salah is currently the league's top scorer for the second successive season.
He hasn't quite reached the level of last season's extraordinary personal achievements when his 32 league goals and 44 in all competitions broke all manner of records.
But netting 22 in the Premier League is no mean feat, and keeps him ahead of the likes of Manchester City's Sergio Aguero, who has 20, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, also on 20.
If he does claim the Golden Boot, he will be the sixth player to win it in successive years, after Alan Shearer, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Harry Kane.
Salah is set to return to the Liverpool side today to face Wolves, having sat out their stunning victory in midweek against Barcelona due to concussion.
He confirmed on Twitter that he has been back in training ahead of the title decider.

Title rivals Manchester City meanwhile are at Brighton and Hove Albion, with a one point lead over Liverpool at the top.
Salah has been part of the league's most exciting strike force, as Sadio Mane has contributed 20 league goals alongside him, and Roberto Firmino a further 12.
The Egyptian suffered a barren spell between the end of January and April when he scored just once in 11 matches but has since scored six in has past eight appearances to take him to 26 in 50 matches in all competitions this season.
The majority of his league goals have come with his left foot (18), while the other four have been with his right. He has scored three penalties, and also provided eight assists.
