Liverpool go top as they end Solskjaer's unbeaten domestic run with Manchester United: Premier League predictions

Solskjaer has yet to lose a game against a domestic side as United manager but that run ends at Old Trafford on Sunday

Cardiff's home form has kept them in the hunt to beat the drop, but Watford can be a tough nut to crack, having lost only one of their past 10 games in all competitions.   West Ham United 2 Fulham 0. Friday, 11.45pm. This literally depends on which West Ham turns up. If it is the one that troubled Liverpool so much earlier in February then Manuel Pellegrini, pictured, will see his side prevail. If it is the one that manages to concede four at AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup then they could give Fulham hope of getting something. But, being optimistic, West Ham should have too much for the relegation strugglers. Getty

  Burnley 0 Tottenham Hotspur 2. Saturday, 4.30pm. Burnley showed in becoming the first side not to lose to Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that they should not be underestimated. But Tottenham have been great at grinding out wins this year and with Son Heung-min, pictured, having scored in his past four games the Premier League title challengers should leave Lancashire with the three points.   Bournemouth 2 Wolverhampton Wanderers 2. Saturday, 7pm. Bournemouth can be wildly inconsistent but they have lost only one of their past six home league games, and that was to Liverpool. With Josh King, pictured right, in good form they should be worth a point against in-form Wolves. Getty

  Newcastle United 2 Huddersfield Town 0. Saturday, 7pm. Rafa Benitez's Newcastle are just a point above the relegation zone, but Salomon Rondon, pictured, will fancy his chances of a productive afternoon against a Huddersfield side who have not won since November. Getty

  Arsenal 3 Southampton 1. Sunday, 6.05pm. Unai Emery's side built up some confidence with their win in the Europa League on Thursday. They will look to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, pictured, to three points to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive. AFP

  Manchester United 2 Liverpool 3. Sunday, 6.05pm. Biggest league game of the weekend by a stretch. United are unbeaten in domestic action under Solskjaer but Liverpool will be the best side they have faced. United will trouble Liverpool, but Jurgen Klopp's side have the forward line in Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino to hurt the home side. The Premier League is back after its two-week hiatus this weekend, well for most of the teams anyway.

The League Cup final between Manchester City and Chelsea on Sunday means they are not playing league football, nor are Everton or Brighton and Hove Albion.

There are eight games in total, starting on Friday with Cardiff v Watford and West Ham United v Fulham, both at 11.45pm.

Four matches take place on Saturday, with the highlight being Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Burnley.

Liverpool will go back top of the table as long as they avoid defeat at Liverpool, which kicks off at 6.05pm, with Arsenal v Southampton on at the same time.
