  • West Ham United 2 Fulham 0. Friday, 11.45pm. This literally depends on which West Ham turns up. If it is the one that troubled Liverpool so much earlier in February then Manuel Pellegrini, pictured, will see his side prevail. If it is the one that manages to concede four at AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup then they could give Fulham hope of getting something. But, being optimistic, West Ham should have too much for the relegation strugglers. Getty

The Premier League is back after its two-week hiatus this weekend, well for most of the teams anyway.

The League Cup final between Manchester City and Chelsea on Sunday means they are not playing league football, nor are Everton or Brighton and Hove Albion.

There are eight games in total, starting on Friday with Cardiff v Watford and West Ham United v Fulham, both at 11.45pm.

Four matches take place on Saturday, with the highlight being Tottenham Hotspur's trip to Burnley.

Liverpool will go back top of the table as long as they avoid defeat at Liverpool, which kicks off at 6.05pm, with Arsenal v Southampton on at the same time.

Ahead of this round of fixtures, sports editor Graham Caygill has made his predictions and explained his reasoning in the photo gallery above. To move on to the next photo, click on the arrows, or if using a mobile device, simply swipe.
