West Ham have been plunged into crisis this week over the Tony Henry saga, while manager David Moyes is likely to be without a host of key players, most notably Marko Arnoutovic and Manuel Lanzini. • Leicester City 2 Swansea City 2 Why? Just a few weeks ago, Swansea looked destined for the drop, but remarkable wins over Liverpool and Arsenal have given the Welsh club plenty of cause for optimism. • Manchester United 3 Huddersfield Town 0 Why? Worrying times for Huddersfield, who have lost their past four matches and now sit just one place and a point above the relegation zone. Jose Mourinho will demand a response from United after their abject showing at Tottenham Hotspur. Alexis Sanchez will fancy his chances of getting off the mark. Steve Bardens / Getty Images

  • West Bromwich Albion 2 Southampton 1 Why? Two sides in serious trouble. West Brom are marooned to the bottom of the table, three points from safety. But at least they have won a game recently – for Southampton, their last victory was 13 games ago. Alan Pardew should grant Daniel Sturridge his first start, and the on-loan Liverpool forward has the ability to make the difference. Phil Noble / Reuters

  • Arsenal 2 Everton 1 Why? Recent results – namely defeats to Bournemouth and Swansea – continue to fuel discontent among Arsenal fans, but success in the transfer market and the contract extension of Mesut Ozil has lifted the mood somewhat, at least for now. Theo Walcott returns after scoring his first goals for Everton, but Arsenal, led by record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, should have too much quality going forward. • Crystal Palace 3 Newcastle United 0 Why? Only one place and two points separate these sides in the table, but the mood around each club could not be more different. Palace have only failed to score once in their past 10 matches – against Manchester City – and Roy Hodgson’s side have enough firepower to defeat an erratic Newcastle team. David Davies / PA

  • Liverpool 2 Tottenham Hotspur 2 Why? The blockbuster match of the round between two of the best attacking teams in the league. Liverpool bounced back from their defeat to Swansea with a comfortable win at Huddersfield, while Tottenham outclassed Manchester United last time out. Liverpool’s fearsome forward line will score, but so too will Tottenham’s – particularly given Liverpool’s struggles to keep a clean sheet. Honours even. Gareth Copley / Getty Images

  • Watford 0 Chelsea 2 Why? All is not well for Chelsea – an unsettled manager, stuttering form and struggles in front of goal has seen the champions’ grip on a top four place loosen. However, they travel to a side with plenty of problems of their own and have won just once in 12 games. New signing Olivier Giroud should come into the side to give Chelsea a focal point in attack, and whenever Eden Hazard is on the pitch, they will always fancy their chances. A comfortable, if uninspiring win for Antonio Conte’s side. Tim Ireland / AP Photo
