Cristiano Ronaldo enjoys Dubai's New Year fireworks extravaganza

It was a world class celebration for a world class footballer as Cristiano Ronaldo saw in the New Year amid Dubai's spectacular fireworks show . The Juventus striker is in the UAE for the Globe Soccer Awards at Madinat Jumeirah on Thursday night, where he has been nominated for the Best Player Award. He posted an image to his Instagram account with him accompanied by fiancee Georgina Rodriguez and son Cristiano Junior with the Burj Al Arab in the background. He wished his 149 million followers a "Happy New Year". Rodriguez also took to social media to post pictures of their trip to the Emirates. The pair took a boat trip off the Dubai coast on New Year's Eve and soaked up the winter sunshine.
