  • April 1996. FA Cup semi-final. Chelsea 1 Manchester United 2. Chelsea had taken charge early on of the semi-final at Villa Park as Ruud Gullit found the net. But United hit back in the second half and strikes from Andrew Cole and David Beckham gave them victory and a place in the final against Liverpool.

Monday sees Chelsea and Manchester United meet at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup fifth round.

It will be the ninth time in the past 25 years that the two sides have met in the competition, with the matches often producing some classic encounters.
