Following the latest round of Premier League matches, Richard Jolly selects his team of the week.

Goalkeeper: Adrian (West Ham)

He may not have known much about it but the Spaniard made a remarkable save with his face to deny Norwich striker Cameron Jerome.

Right-back: Glen Johnson (Stoke)

Provided the cross for Mame Biram Diouf’s winner as Stoke belatedly recorded their first league win of the season.

Centre-back: Brede Hangeland (Crystal Palace)

A rock in defence as Palace became a rare team to keep a clean sheet this weekend during their win at Watford.

Centre-back: Virgil van Dyk (Southampton)

The Dutchman, who was signed from Celtic, scored his first goal for the club and won his duel with Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

Left-back: Alberto Moreno (Liverpool)

A dynamic display going forward against Aston Villa from the Spanish wing-back, who has excelled since winning a recall.

Right wing: Erik Lamela (Tottenham)

Produced probably the best display of his disappointing Spurs career against Manchester City. For once, he did look worth £30 million.

Centre midfield: Ramires (Chelsea)

The catalyst for a comeback. Ramires came off the bench to score a spectacular goal and change the game at Newcastle.

Centre midfield: Santi Cazorla (Arsenal)

Set up Arsenal’s all-important equaliser at Leicester with a lovely pass to scorer Theo Walcott. As ever, Cazorla’s distribution was excellent.

Left wing: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

Ended his drought in style with a terrific hat-trick in Arsenal’s 5-2 thrashing of Leicester. The player of the weekend.

Striker: Harry Kane (Tottenham)

Finally got the goal his efforts this season have deserved, even if he was offside when he struck against Manchester City.

Striker: Jamie Vardy (Leicester)

Finished on the losing side, but did not deserve to. Vardy scored twice and hit the woodwork in an all-action performance against Arsenal.
