Seldom have the cricket grounds of the UAE been treated to such a carnival of colour and celebration as they have over the past two weeks.

The 2018 Asia Cup was arguably the finest international competition yet witnessed on these shores, with some vivid memories made.

Some of the best moments included the two that came from the opening match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka which, apart from swinging back and forth, set the stage for a brilliant comeback by fast bowler Lasith Malinga.

Also, who can ever forget Tamim Iqbal's heroic performance with the bat even though he was severely hampered by a fracture during the game?
