Lancashire continued their preparation for the 2018 County Championship season with a run out against a UAE XI at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Monday.
The UAE Blues, a mix of local club players and established internationals, posted scores of 130 and 168-5 either side of Lancashire's 366 to earn a draw.
Wicketkeeper Ateeq Ur Rehman top-scored for the UAE Blues in the first innings with an 88-ball 49, but six wickets for Tom Bailey, which included the scalps of all top-five batsmen, ensured a low total.
Lancashire's response was built largely on a 141-run third-wicket stand between Steven Croft (84) and Karl Brown, who top-scored for the English side with 161 before retiring out.
A much-changed UAE Blues side offered more resistance in the second innings, with internationals Chirag Suri (21) and Adnan Mufti (42) leading the hosts. Captain Mohammed Qasim's unbeaten 46 was the UAE's top score in the second innings.
