Tory Burch’s morning show took place on the Upper East Side.

Fighting hideous traffic by car and accumulating snow by foot, the collection premiered around 40 minutes behind schedule.

The event space was converted into a modern-day Bohemian dream - mustard and khaki, worn down Moroccan rugs were laid across the floor and walls, with matching seat cushions and show packets on the benches.

Burch was taken with the idea of “London Bohemia - Marrakech meets Chelsea”; an accurate depiction of what was on show.

Carpet-printed, billowing chiffon day dresses in blue and deep red, fringed bags, belts and necklaces and sequin-strewn jumpers and skirts.

The Vera Wang collection was an ode to avant-garde style - a far cry from the designer’s pretty evening gowns. Of course, this isn’t the first season Wang shows us her darker side but it’s one of the few where she adopts little to no embroidery on her gowns

Models came down in voluminous, structured pieces dusted with three dimensional flowers and mixed with chiffons and high-shine leathers.

Even the final piece, traditionally something intricately embroidered, was a black velvet and cotton straight cut top and skirt paired with trainer-like, flat ankle boots.

Naeem Khan is a man who knows his strengths - and when it comes to fashion shows, he’s the master of extravagant eveningwear.

The Indian-American designer didn’t beat around the bush with today’s show, starting it with a full length, A-line, black lace gown covered in a spattering of gold leaf.

As one of the few designers to go with bold colour this season, Khan chose the unconventional shades of peach and lime green for autumn/winter and mixed it with neutrals such as black, silver and gold.
