Travellers wanted for all-expenses paid summer in Croatia
A cruise company wants to send you to Croatia for a month of dolphin spotting and island-hopping
Does the idea of a month in Croatia spent island-hopping and helping to save the ocean sound like a dream summer? A luxury cruise company wants to help you do exactly that.
Unforgettable Croatia, a small ship cruise specialist, is sending one traveller to Croatia for a month of marine conservation and island exploration.
In partnership with non-profit conservation organisation the Blue World Institute, Unforgettable Croatia will send one intern to Losinj, an island in the Ardriatic Sea, where they'll spend two weeks getting hands-on with marine conservation.
Days will be spent on research boats tracking dolphin movements and recording sea turtle sightings. This will help aid scientific research and investigation into Croatia's marine environment.
The initiative is part of Unforgettable Croatia’s bid to become the region’s most eco-friendly cruise operator by the end of 2020.
After two weeks spent in Losnij, where you can see up to 50 dolphins a day, the explorer will head out to discover Croatia.
Starting with a seven-night trip from Losinj to Rovnii, travellers will get a private tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park, try their hand at truffle hunting in the Istria Peninsula and bed-down in luxury accommodation, all expenses paid.
The month-long internship ends with a week of island hopping on a seven-night, small-ship cruise stopping in Havar, Vis, Korcula, Mljet and Ston, and ending in Dubronvik.
