Katana, a popular robata and sushi bar on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, will open its doors next month in Dubai between Souk Al Bahar and the Dubai Mall, overlooking the fountain and the Burj Khalifa.
Katana Dubai will have an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining and will serve up authentic Japanese cuisine cooked over an open flame. The menu is filled with chicken, beef and seafood dishes that will be flame-grilled over traditional Japanese white charcoal called bincho-tan. There’s also a range of sushi, vegetables and rice and noodle dishes.
Katana in West Hollywood is a favourite haunt for VIPs in the film, music and television industry. Katana Dubai will be the second Katana outlet in the world. There are also plans to open an outlet in Chicago next summer. Katana comes from the US-based Innovative Dining Group, the same team that brought BOA Steakhouse to Abu Dhabi.
