On Tuesday night, the Council of Fashion Designers America held the annual Vogue Fashion Fund 2019 Awards.
A gala dinner was held at Cipriani South Street in New York, and Christopher John Rogers was named the winner of the $400,000 fund (Dh1.4 million), with Jameela Jamil and Ashley Graham both wearing the designer on the night.
Rogers works in Brooklyn, but is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The award is likely to be a game changer for his career, as it was for past winners Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra, Brock Collection and Pyer Moss (who won last year).
Danielle Hirsh of Danielle Frankel and Reese Cooper were named as runners up.
It was truly another spectacular year for #CVFF. Thank you to all of our partners for making this year one to remember! pic.twitter.com/mZ3zNXclWg
