Petrol prices in the UAE will rise in October.
The Ministry of Energy announced on Thursday that motorists will pay Dh1.81 a litre for Super 98, up 3.4 per cent from September; Special 95 will cost Dh1.70, up 3.6 per cent, E Plus will cost Dh1.63, while diesel will cost Dh1.76, up 2.3 per cent.
For September, Super 98 was priced at Dh1.75 a litre, Special 95 at Dh1.64 and E Plus was Dh1.57. Diesel cost Dh1.72.
Late in Wednesday in Algiers, the Opec countries agreed to reduce their output for the first time in eight years. At midday Thursday, Brent crude futures were down 0.6 per cent at $48.41. Brent surged 5.9 per cent on Wednesday.
