Emirates Airline has signed an agreement with German police that will mean easier travel for passengers on flights to the country.
The deal struck with the Bundespolizei, Germany’s federal police service, makes the screening of travel documents more efficient.
From now on document checks at Dubai International Airport for passengers going to Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Dusseldorf will now be carried out by Emirates personnel with extensive knowledge of Germany’s immigration procedures.
A secondary documentation screening check has also been added at the gate prior to boarding the aircraft.
It is the first agreement of its kind between the Bundespolizei and an airline and aims to reduce the risk of passengers travelling without the correct paperwork.
As a result, it will reduce the time spent going through immigration in Germany.
