Aircraft parts maker Strata Manufacturing has signed an agreement with Germany's Premium Aerotec to supply metallic bonded and 'computer numerical control' (CNC) machined aircraft parts.

The deal, signed at Dubai Airshow on Monday, runs for five years and will see Premium Aerotec deliver its first shipment of complex parts to Strata's Nibras Al Ain Aerospace Park production facility in January next year.

“The integration of Premium AEROTEC’s specialised manufacturing process expertise into our supply chain network significantly boosts Strata’s quality product and service offering to customers and the wider global market,” Ismail Ali Abdulla, the chief executive of Strata, said in a statement.

Strata Manufacturing is part of Mubadala Investment Company's aerospace business, which also includes the newly-merged Sanad maintenance and leasing group, satellite communications company Al Yah Satellite Communications (Yahsat) and investments in Virgin Galactic and Virgin Orbit.

Premium Aerotec, meanwhile, is a subsidiary of plane maker Airbus.

“We are proud to intensify the existing partnership between Premium Aerotec and Strata with this long-term collaboration,” said Thomas Ehm, chief executive of Premium Aerotec

Strata works with leading aircraft manufacturers, including Airbus, Boeing, Leonardo, and Pilatus. The company employs almost 700 people of 30 different nationalities, although more than half of its workforce are Emirati nationals.
