Middle East’s largest trampoline park Flip Out Dubai opens to the public

A trampoline city that'll make Game of Thrones and Hunger Games themed parties a bouncy success for adults and children has opened in Dubai's Al Quoz area.

Australian-based Flip Out has set up the Middle East’s largest indoor trampoline park in Dubai, which spans 40,000 square feet. The first park opened in Sydney in 2012, and spread to Malaysia, Mexico, Taiwan, New Zealand and now the UAE.

The facility in Dubai has a network of 200 interconnected trampolines, 10 different trampoline-based attractions, a double-decker kids trampoline arena, trampoline football and basketball and 3D wall runners. There is a half-pipe trampoline connected to a foam pit and a 50 square-metre pit with two Olympic trampolines for more seasoned athletes and daredevils. The park was inaugurated yesterday with laser lights shows choreographed to live music by a DJ, and opens to the public today.

The complex also has UAE's first six-a-side archery tag booths, that allows participants to assume adventurous roles and start a war with friends and family with foam-tipped arrows. The archery chambers are set up to resemble sets from Game of Thrones, Robin Hood and The Hunger Games.

More than 15 Flip Out experts, gymnasts and parkour professionals will be on the floor to teach players safe flips and tricks. The park will also begin a Little Ninjas programme for kids as young as two, if they can crawl, in their children’s trampoline play area.

Flip Out will also cater to fitness enthusiasts by offering yoga, Pilates and aerobics and rebounding sessions, but with a jumping twist to them.

“If you wan to stat healthy and fit but don’t like the gym or simply want to mix-up your exercise routines, jumping a trampoline has tremendous health benefits,” says Sameer Ali, the director of Flip Out in Mena.

He says the special programme for children will help build their flexibility and confidence. “We want kids to learn tricks and flips, show-off their skills and inspire others.”

Flip Out is located in Al Quoz 3, behind the Noor Bank Metro Station. An hour-long session costs Dh70, with Dh50 for every additional hour. Tickets for children below five years are Dh60. Flip Out also takes group bookings games at the archery tag chambers. Book on www.flipout.ae and follow updates on www.facebook.com/FlipOutDubai
