Nick Jonas formally announced his engagement to Priyanka Chopra on Saturday.
The 25-year-old singer posted an image on his Instagram account of the two of them together, with the caption: "Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love." Chopra was also wearing an engagement ring in the photograph.
The 36-year-old Quantico star posted the same image to her own Instagram page, with the caption: "Taken. With all my heart and soul."
Jonas is currently in Mumbai with his parents where he has been meeting Chopra's family and celebrating the engagement with a traditional Roka ceremony, in which the families exchange gifts and bless the couple. He also donned a sleek sherwani garment - something worn for formal occasions in India.
One source told E News: "It's a tradition for them to meet before the wedding and Priyanka's family insisted on hosting the Jonas family in their country.
"Priyanka wants everything to be traditional to respect her family's values, and definitely an Indian wedding."
It is understood Jonas proposed to Chopra in London for her 36th birthday after shutting down a Tiffany store in New York to choose a ring. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ring is said to be a five-carat diamond worth $300,000 (Dh1.1million).
There is no date yet for the wedding although it is understood that the pair do not want a long engagement.
