Oscar-nominated actor Albert Finney has been remembered by many of his peers and co-stars on social media, after news of his death broke on Friday.
The Annie star died at the age of 82, with his family revealing the British actor "passed away peacefully after a short illness with those closest to him by his side".
The star appeared in tens of films during his 52-year career, including Tom Jones (1963), Murder on the Orient Express (1974) and Erin Brockovich (2000). Finney's last role was in 2012's Skyfall, the twenty-third film in the James Bond series.
With multiple Academy Awards nominations to his name, as well as Golden Globes, Emmys, Baftas and an Olivier Award, Finney was an inspiration to many of the industry's finest during his esteemed career.
