The much anticipated first trailer is now out for Salman Khan's Race 3

The much-awaited trailer of Race 3 has been released with producer and actor Salman Khan focusing on the climacticscenes shot in Abu Dhabi. Also making it unique is the fact that the trailer was released despite constraints and in a 360-degree format - a successful attempt by the makers to achieve a first in Bollywood.

The third sequel of the popular movie is still approaching the end of production and is slated for release on Eid. The film unit, spearheaded by director Remo D'Souza and co-producer Ramesh Taurani, managed to get the most appealing scenes of the movie shot and canned over 40 days of filming with help from twofour54.

A court verdict over an old blackbuck poaching case involving Khan threatened to derail the schedule of the movie as fans fretted . However, the actor received bail, but has been stopped from travelling abroad.

The final bits and pieces of the movie are still being shot in the desert region of Jaisalmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan to mimic the locales of Abu Dhabi.

With the post-production moving at a furious pace, Khan caused more nervous moments by tweeting a day before the scheduled trailer release that he was doubtful about keeping up with Tuesday's promise to the fans.

However, the trailer was released in a suburb in Mumbai and coverage hit the social media with simultaneous streaming on Facebook and Twitter. The trailer started trending almost immediately.

As per reports, after looking at initial drafts, it was Khan's idea to rework and encash on the action scenes that form the bulk of the much-talked about franchise. A Saturday release date was deferred to Tuesday to make the changes accordingly.

Many locations in the UAE capital and more than Dh1 billion worth of luxury supercars - Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghinis, Ferraris and superbikes- were used under the supervision of Hollywood stunt director Tom Struthers.

Race 3 is releasing after more than five years from its predecessor and 10 years from the first part, which had the final scenes shot on the Jebel Hafeet mountain in Al Ain.
