From sumptuous silk kaftans in muted shades of black, silvery grey and burgundy-tinted anthracite, to jumpsuit dresses in pops of siren red, parrot green and sky blue, Emirati designer Fatma Al Fahim’s latest offerings will appeal to both the understated and outlandish fashionista.

Whether you’re looking for an elegant yet subtle suhoor outfit, or planning a holiday somewhere bright and beachy, look to Al Fahim’s label F7 by Fatma. The Dubai-based label has simultaneously released its Ramadan capsule collection, – made up of a range of kaftans – and a spring/summer 2017 collection comprising robed jumpsuits, batwing tops, ruffled and deconstructed dresses and palazzo pants.

While the kaftans are mainly crafted from high-quality silk, the summery outfits are in lightweight cotton and linen, and characterised by printed elements such as printed clouds, criss-cross lacing, and straws with red and green stripes.

The designer and mum-of-four, who is originally from Abu Dhabi, is keen to create clothes that flatter every figure, and she seeks inspiration from art, nature and architecture, as is evident in the detachable sleeves, playful motifs and sculpted silhouettes from her latest collections.

Al Fahim launched her couture label of bespoke gowns in 2003 before moving to ready-to-wear and opening her first concept store, F7 Design, in d3 in Dubai. Shop the two collections online or visit Thoubi by Symphony in The Dubai Mall, where the Ramadan capsule collection will be displayed until May 21.
