London Fashion Week: Hunter Original’s snazzy men’s jackets

One of our favourite London Fashion Week collections so far came from the heritage rubber-boot brand Hunter Original, who served fanciful outdoor-inspired pieces in a muddy runway set inside a super-sized tent.

While this week is all about women’s ready-to-wear clothes, Hunter’s show also featured male models donned in hip rain gear constructed with technical fabrics.

The label’s imaginative reinterpretation of vests and bomber jackets was highly covetable, but the true standouts were the light jackets and ponchos. With their striking colours and thoughtful pockets, they were both dapper and utilitarian, sleek and sturdy. The matching footwear was of course superior.

Hunter’s creative director Alasdhair Willis seems to have been inspired by music festivals — and his latest line definitely feels appropriate for a Coachella or Glastonbury-goer.
