Washington riots: Watch as demonstrators storm Capitol Hill

Supporters of US President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol in Washington on Wednesday, forcing a lockdown as Congress debated certifying the presidential election results.

The chaotic day culminated in an armed stand-off between law enforcement officers and the agitators in the inner chamber, where politicians had taken cover.

Two women and two men died during the violence.
