Timeline: recent attacks on US forces in Iraq

(FILES) In this file photo taken on January 13, 2020 a picture taken on January 13, 2020 during a press tour organised by the US-led coalition fighting the remnants of the Islamic State group, shows a view of the damage at Ain al-Asad military airbase housing US and other foreign troops in the western Iraqi province of Anbar. More than 100 US troops sustained "mild" traumatic brain injury, far more than originally announced, when Iran launched missiles at their base in Iraq last month, the Department of Defense said February 10, 2020.
"As of today, 109 US service members have been diagnosed with mild traumatic brain injury, or mTBI, an increase of 45 since the previous report," the Pentagon said in a statement.

The rocket strikes that killed two American and one British soldier at the Taji air base near Baghdad on March 11 follow a string of similar attacks on US troops serving in Iraq as part of the global anti-ISIS coalition.
