UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson delivered the government’s tribute to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in the House of Commons on Monday.
MPs were recalled early from their Easter recess to pay their respects to Philip, the Queen’s husband, who died on Friday at the age of 99.
Mr Johnson said Prince Philip had shown “unfailing dedication” to Britain and the Commonwealth, and had sustained the Queen throughout her reign.
He reminded MPs of the Prince’s acts of bravery in the Navy, his many engineering inventions, and some of his most infamous diplomatic faux pas.
