Germany shooting: Fatal injuries feared following attack in southwestern town

Several people have been injured in a shooting in southwestern Germany, police said, adding that some of the injured were presumed dead.

The DPA news agency and Bild newspaper both reported six people had died in the shooting.

A suspect has been detained following the attack took place in the town of Rot am See, about 170 kilometers northwest of Munich.

Police in the nearby town of Aalen said the incident appeared to be linked to a "personal relationship".

Bild reported that the people killed were all family members of the shooter, adding that the perpetrator was a man born in 1983.
