MANILA // The former Philippine president, Gloria Arroyo, and her husband pleaded not guilty yesterday to corruption charges involving a government internet deal with a Chinese telecom company while she was in power.
Mrs Arroyo, 65, who has been held in a military hospital for more than four months, faces a separate trial for election fraud.
