SHARJAH // A 40-year-old woman fell to her death on Monday from a 17th-floor apartment in Sharjah.
Police have launched an investigation after the woman fell to her death in Al Tawuun area early on Monday morning.
The Sharjah central operations room received a report about the fall at 1am and dispatched emergency crews and police officers to the location.
Emergency crews found the 40-year-old dead. Her body was transported to the Sharjah Police forensic labs to determine the cause of death.
Earlier this month, an 20-month-old Arab boy fell from the third-floor balcony of his home in the same area. He was transported to Al Qasimi Hospital suffering from severe wounds.
The boy died after 10 days due to the severe injuries he sustained from the fall.
