ABU DHABI // UAE TV channels will today follow the triumphant return of Emirati soldiers who have ended their tour of duty in Yemen, Abu Dhabi Media said yesterday.

The UAE Welcomes back its Brave Soldiers, from 8am to 8pm, will follow their return after they were relieved by a second contingent taking part in Operation Restoring Hope.

“The live broadcast of the return of our brave soldiers complements the efforts made by Abu Dhabi Media in the past months to cover the latest developments in Yemen and the participation of our Armed Forces in Operations Decisive Storm and Restoring Hope there,” said HE Mohamed Ebraheem Al Mahmood, Chairman and Managing Director of ADM.

“We have been promoting the role of our brave heroes in Yemen and highlighting the leading position of Abu Dhabi Media in performing its national duty.”

Abu Dhabi TV channels will follow the official and public reception in honour of the soldiers through a network of reporters in Yemen and the UAE.

A field studio has been established at the scene of the official reception, which will take place in the presence of the country’s leaders, Mr Al Mahmood said.

There will also be a live broadcast from the Abu Dhabi TV studio.

All UAE channels will broadcast the welcome reception. Coverage will also include interviews with soldiers and families.

The TV studio will host strategic and military analysts discussing the national occasion and the UAE’s efforts in Yemen.

Special documentary films produced by Abu Dhabi TV such as You Kept your Promise, Bab Al Mandeb and Men of Hope, on the humanitarian work in Yemen, will also be broadcast.
