SHARJAH // Two Sharjah University students were among four people killed in three separate accidents on the emirate's roads on the same day, police have confirmed.
The accidents all happened on Wednesday evening. A Sri Lankan woman and Pakistani man were also killed.
The two students from the college of engineering were identified as MBM and BMS, both were in their early 20s and from Arab countries. Their Mercedes car left the road and overturned several times. One of the students, who was driving, died at the scene, while the other died on the way to hospital.
A police spokesman said the accident was caused by speeding and not paying attention to the road.
The Sri Lankan woman, who was 26 years old, died when her car collided with another vehicle on Al Dari Road. The 36-year-old Pakistani man was killed in a collision on Al Dhaid Road.
