The capital is likely to be the hottest place in the UAE on Sunday with temperatures set to peak at 36°C and humidity rising to 60 per cent by midday, according to forecasters.

It will be clear, sunny and warm across much of the country although slightly cooler in Dubai and the Northern Emirates at about 33°C, with humidity set at between 45-50 per cent and a light north easterly 10km per hour breeze.

A scattering of clouds will develop throughout the day and temperatures will fall to around 25°C overnight, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology reported.

Humidity in Fujairah will be higher at 60-65 per cent, but it will remain clear and sunny with temperatures peaking at 34°C.

A similar picture is forecast for Monday, although drivers are advised to take extra care on the roads as brisker winds could bring the added risk of blowing dust.
