Rough seas in the Arabian Gulf forecast

Rain fell during the night in various parts of the UAE and more is expected today, particularly in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, with cloud cover persisting across the country.

The coastal regions should receive rainfall with heavy clouds covering several areas in the north, according to the National Centre for Meteorology.

The centre reported light rain over Dubai International Airport shortly before 8am, while heavier rain fell over Sweihan, Al Khazna, south of Wathba, Mussafah and Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi during the night, as well as in Masafi in Fujairah and Al Dhaid in Sharjah.

The temperature in Dubai will range between 22°C to 26°C, in Abu Dhabi from 23°C to 30°C and in Fujairah from 24°C to 26°C through the day.

High winds over the Arabian Gulf will whip waves to heights of between 5 to 9 feet through Wednesday.
