  • Arabic

Foggy and cloudy conditions are likely to persist across scattered and eastern areas, forecasters at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said.

Mist was reported in Al Minhad, Swiehan, and Khalifa College in Al Ain.

NCMS forecasters alerted residents that fog formation will cause poor visibility to less than 1000m, especially in Zayed City.

Weather will be fair and partly cloudy at times. Some clouds will develop over eastern areas by afternoon.

Light to moderate winds in general and moderate to fresh winds over offshore areas in the Arabian Gulf.

Humidity is also expected to reach 95 per cent across internal regions, increasing at night and in the early morning across coastal and internal areas.

The sea will be moderate to rough  in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.

Inland areas could have winds up to 36 kilometers an hour and coastal areas could have winds up to 40 kilometers an hour and maximum temperatures will be about 39°C in inland areas.

Temperatures will range from 22 to 36°C along the coast and 16 to 39°C in the interior regions, according to NCMS.

The highest temperature recorded in the country on Sunday was 40.2°C in Mezaira at 2.45pm. The lowest temperature recorded was 16.4°C in Jais Mountain at 3:30am
