DUBAI // Residents across the country woke up to sunny skies on Sunday morning, with hot conditions expected to persist throughout the week.
Temperatures in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected to range between 26°C and 43°C throughout the day, according to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology.
“Slight to moderate” seas are forecast in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman on Sunday.
Temperatures will range between 22°C to 40°C along the coast and 18°C to 43°C inland.
Residents living in the northern emirates or in mountainous areas can expect temperatures of 19°C to 34°C.
Humidity will be high in the evenings and early morning, peaking at 95 per cent along the coast.
The highest temperature recorded across the country on Saturday was 44°C in Mezaira, an area neighbouring Saudi Arabia, at 2:15pm.
And the lowest temperature recorded on Saturday morning as 17.4°C in Damsa at 6.00am.
