UAE traffic: Heavy congestion across the country

Drivers met with delays in different parts of the country

Commuters experienced a busy start to the week with congested roads in different parts of the country.

Drivers faced heavy traffic on Al Ittihad Road heading towards Sharjah, while there was congestion on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah ring road towards Muhaisnah.

Vehicles were also at standstill in the Al Qusais area, Al Mizhar and Muhaisnah.

Heavy traffic also slowed early commuters in Dubai's Al Barsha, International City, Dubailand and on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.

Tailbacks were reported in Dubai-Al Ain Road near International Academy City.

In the capital, roads seemed to be less congested with some traffic reported in Al Maqta, and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Road.
