ABU DHABI // The UAE will take part in the official ceremony to launch a nuclear fuel bank in Kazakhstan on August 27.
The project is supported by the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, reported Wam, the state news agency.
It follows an agreement between Kazakhstan and the International Atomic Energy Agency and will see a world bank for low-enriched uranium.
The first delivery is expected within two years and it will provide countries access to enriched nuclear fuel without the need for enrichment technology.
