ABU DHABI // The UAE is participating in one of the world’s largest anti-corruption forums in St Petersburg, Russia on Friday.
With more than 1,000 participants, the sixth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption aims to further efforts in combating corruption, embezzlement, money-laundering and enhancing transparency in funding for public office candidates.
Dr. Harib Al Amimi, President of State Audit Institution, is heading the UAE delegation.
The UAE was ranked as the least corrupt nation in the Arab world, coming in 25th out of 175 countries in a report from Transparency International in 2014.
