ABU DHABI // A UAE Space Agency delegation attended the world’s largest aerospace trade show this week, promoting the country’s space programme.

Led by the agency’s director-general, Dr Mohammed Al Ahbabi, the delegation met representatives of other space agencies at the Paris Air Show, including Jean-Yves Le Gall, president of the National Centre of Space Studies in France.

He said such relationships played a key role in the development of the UAE’s programme. “They will improve technical abilities as we exchange scientific knowledge and best practices,” he said. “They will also improve the UAE’s standing as a world leader in space exploration.”

In April, the UAE and France signed an agreement for cooperation in space exploration.
