UAE leaders offer condolences to families of martyrs killed in Yemen helicopter crash

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on Sunday began visiting the mourning majlises of the servicemen who died in a helicopter crash in Yemen on Friday. First the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces visited and paid his respects to the family of Mohamed Saeed Rashid Al-Hassani, in Dadna, Fujairah. Sheikh Mohammed then visited the mourning majlis for for Jassem Saleh Rashid Al Zaabi in Ras Al Khaimah to offer his condolences to the family of the First Lieutenant Pilot. Sheikh Mohammed also visited the family of Samir Mohamed Murad Abu Bakr in Al-Ragayeb Ajman to pay his respects. Meanwhile, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, visited the family of Ahmed Khalifa Al Baloushi to offer his condolences on the Captain’s death. He was joined by Mohammed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, who also prayed that Al Baloushi’s soul rest in peace. The Ras Al Khaimah ruler, Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, led funeral prayers for First Lieutenant Pilot Jassem Saleh Al Zaabi on Saturday and on Sunday visited the family of Warrant Officer Sameer Mohammed Murad Abu Bakr in Ajman to offer his condolences. The UAE's leaders also took to Twitter to share messages of support for the families with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation tweeting a prayer in Arabic for "God to strengthen the country". Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, tweeted: “Emirati men set the best example of sacrifice and devotion for the sake of their country, of bringing justice and of spreading peace.
