Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, the UAE Ambassador to Egypt, met Pope Tawandros II of the Coptic Church to express his condolences to victims of the cathedral bombing in Cairo.
Twenty-five worshippers were killed in the attack on the Saint Peter and Saint Paul Church on December 11.
Mr Al Juanibi said he hoped the church would recover from the attack and praised its role in promoting unity in Egypt.
He also voiced his appreciation for the church’s message of tolerance and love in Egypt and across the Arab world.
