Two men died in a five-vehicle collision on Thursday morning.

The incident, which saw three cars and two lorries go up in flames, took place on Al Fayah Road, heading to Dubai, at around 7am.

An investigation is underway, said Col Hamad Al Balushi, director of the highway traffic department at Abu Dhabi Police.

The Col said inattention and failure to check if the road is clear before changing or turning into lanes can result in serious injury or death.

He asked motorists to be extra cautious when driving on truck roads, simultaneously urging truck drivers to respect traffic lanes in order to avoid any accidents.
