Abu Dhabi residents have just two days to go to nominate selfless and inspirational people for the emirate's highest civic award.
The Abu Dhabi Awards celebrate people who contribute positively and help the community thrive.
They may live in or outside the emirate and come from all walks of life. Nominations are open until Tuesday December 31.
Citizens and residents have been encouraged to nominate the unsung hero of their choice through the Abu Dhabi Awards website.
The biennial event can be awarded to anyone regardless of their age, gender, nationality or place of residence.
Eisa Al Subousi, member of the Abu Dhabi Awards Organising Committee, said: "We urge each and every person to make their nomination for the Abu Dhabi Awards before December 31st.
"We all know an unsung hero that deserves to be recognised for their selfless deeds.
"Recognising someone for their contributions to the community is an act of goodness in itself".
A video earlier this year began the search for individuals who help others without asking for anything in return, without complaint or seeking recognition.
The committee motivated people to perform good deeds through a series of inspirational talks, majlis sessions, and community events.
After nominations close, the awards committee will evaluate nominations and shortlist some for further study on their work and contributions.
Award recipients will be announced at the official Abu Dhabi Awards ceremony to be held in spring 2020.
Since 2005, the awards have recognised 80 unsung heroes from 16 countries.
Last year, nine people where recognised for their contribution to Abu Dhabi's community, including Dr Jayanti Maitra for her efforts to document the history of the UAE and Sheikh Zayed.
Fatima Al Kaabi, a 16-year-old, won the award for her skills in innovation and robotics, which she used to train people through free workshops.
Another winner was Theban Al Mheiri, who is one of the first Emiratis to participate in sports for people with special needs.
Dr Azzam Al Zoebie, was posthumously awarded with the honour for his life-long work treating child cancer patients. Another doctor who won was Dr George Mathew, one of the first doctors to arrive in Abu Dhabi five decades ago.
