ABU DHABI // Two of the Dar Al Ber Society’s Quran students have been ranked as some of the best at the Ras Al Khaimah Quran Award.
Ahmed Abdul Azeem, who is registered with the Ber Quran Memorisation project, managed to rank fourth in the award.
Zainab, one of the new Muslim converts, claimed sixth position in the converts award in which she was able to memorise 20 chapters of the Quran.
Ali Al Shehi, Manager of Dar Al Ber branch in Ras Al Khaimah, said that 18 of the Dar Al Ber Society Quran learners participated in the award this year.
“Such Quran contests and activities give a boost the values of moderation and tolerance among young generations in view of the directives of the UAE’s far-sighted leadership,” he said.
This was the third straight time Dar Al Ber Society Quran memorisers took part in the RAK Quran Award.
