SHARJAH // Two minors have been arrested on suspicion of breaking into cars around Sharjah.
Police said that the pair, both of Arab nationality, were caught while allegedly trying to break the window of a vehicle in a parking lot, to steal its contents.
Police said that teams from the Criminal Investigation Department have been monitoring and searching for the individuals behind several thefts in the emirate.
During interrogations, the minors confessed to carrying out several thefts in the emirate.
Police urged motorists to remove any valuable items from their cars and not leave money inside and to park their cars in well lit areas.
