As car parking mishaps go – this one was a smasher.
As a shopper carefully manoeuvered his vehicle inside a packed garage in Dubai, he accidentally hit the accelerator pedal, launching his car into two others.
Fortunately, no-one was injured in the fender-bending collision at Union Coop in Umm Sequim on Tuesday.
Other than some significant dents to body panels and paintwork, the only other damage done was to the driver’s pride.
“The crash was due to the negligence and lack of attention from the first driver who pushed down on their accelerator,” Dubai Police said in a tweet.
“This caused his car to ram into two other parked cars causing damage to both. No one was inside the two vehicles.”
On Wednesday evening the site of the crash remained cordoned off. Witnesses said it was a miracle no-one had been severely injured in the accident.
