DUBAI // Two men were injured in separate traffic accidents in Dubai yesterday.
A man was hit by a car as he crossed Jumeirah Road near to Burj Al Arab hotel shortly after midnight. Police said the driver was Emirati and the Asian pedestrian was jaywalking. He was treated at Rashid Hospital for serious injuries.
At about 1.30am a taxi and motorcycle were involved in a crash in Jumeirah. The motorcycle rider, from Jordan, had been trying to overtake the taxi from the right, according to police. He was hit as the taxi driver, from Nepal, tried to take a right turn. The motorcyclist’s injuries were said to be serious.
