Seven family members injured in Abu Dhabi traffic accident

Seven members of the same family were injured in a traffic accident in Abu Dhabi. A girl, 2, suffered severe injuries. 
Abu Dhabi police said the accident happened near Al Wathba Bridge on the E30 towards Abu Dhabi. The six other family members, all GCC nationals, sustained minor to moderate injuries. 
Lt Col Abdullah Yousif Al Suwaidi, deputy director of traffic and patrols, said early investigations indicated the accident was caused when a pick-up truck swerved towards the family's vehicle. 
The driver tried to avoid colliding with the pick-up and instead struck the road barriers.
Lt Col Al Suwaidi called on motorists to be careful while driving and ensure that the road is clear before changing lanes.

Police did not say when the accident happened.
