The traffic and patrols directorate of Abu Dhabi Police has installed 25 radars on Razeen Al Waqan and truck roads in Al Ain city.
The measure was part of a plan to improve safety and cut speeding. Lt Col Dr Badr Al Harethi, director of the traffic engineering and road safety section at the directorate, said the speed limit on the Razeen Al Waqan road was 120 kilometres per hour and 81 km/h on the truck road.
He said that the radars would “improve traffic safety and increase compliance to the speed limits on the roads”.
